I have the honour to forward a letter receiveo Trow the

Chairman of the Dock Company,making application for an extension

of Kowicon Merine Lot 27.

The present Dock Company's premises consist of Kowloon

Varine Lot 27 and Hung Hou Varine Lot No.1, as sneva coloured yellow

on the accompanying plen. The roruer lot was parodesed in 1864 at &

preuiua of approximately 1/2 & cent per square foct; Annuel Crowd

heat at the rate or #50 per acre;ter of lease PPR years. The latter

was granted in 1882, subject to a precium at the rate of 2/2

cents per square foot end en enndel Crown rent at the rate or $100

per acre.

Fixing the value of the property now applied for.

In the case of Kowloon Marine Lot 27 and Hung Bow Marine

Lot 1, extensive works in the way of sea walis,reclaration,ena

earth cutting were necessary before the property could be utilised

for bailaine purposes, whereas in the present case excavation is
